Awakening Beauty was born from a moment of realization in 1991, when the author stopped reading altogether after discovering the paradox of reading about life while surrounded by its living abundance. Living among artisans and children on the banks of the Mahanadi, he began rebuilding understanding from the ground of experience—through the senses, through presence, through the world itself as teacher.
The book invites us to return from the word to the world—to rediscover beauty not as something to create, but as something already alive and waiting to be seen. And in that seeing, awaken the beauty that already lives within us—woven into our very biology. It reminds us that the senses are not ornamental but foundational to knowing.
